Applesauce Cupcakes
My grandma has a stashed recipe for applesauce cake that is very similar to this one. This is a very moist cake that has optional raisins and pecans throughout; I don't recommend removing either because they add great texture to the cake. Take a bite, "Oh hello pecan!" It also doesn't get any better than topping the cake with classic cream cheese frosting.

Pumple Pie

Yes, it's exactly as it sounds; I have combined the traditional pumpkin and apple pies. I'm surprised that I had never tried it sooner because they both use similar spice and cooking temperatures/techniques. The result of this recipe is not only delicious because you get both flavors that come through, but visually you get a pumpkin pie with apple slices; it ends up resembling leaves floating atop your pie! How very Fall weather appropriate?

Fresh Applesauce

This past weekend I visited some apple orchards with my family and we brought home a good amount of apples. We grabbed two varieties of apples in particular: Haralson and Fireside. I personally prefer the Fuji apple, but everyone has their own tastes. Apples are intriguing to me because they may all look the same on the outside, but they can be completely different beneath the skin.
