#5 That's My Jam Sandwich Cookies
Ben & Jerry's That's My Jam ice cream is one of the "core" ice creams. There are two different flavored ice cream separated by an additional flavored core. I like this concept because it gives you a variety of options when you eat it, much like this cookie. You can sandwich two raspberry cookies together, two chocolate or just enjoy each individually. The choice is yours.

#3 Mini Chocolate Chip Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Sandwich Cookies
Ben & Jerry's Challenge Cookie #3: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. I don't think a cookie could be any more self-explanatory or indulgent. Technically, making these cookies full size would be the equivalent to eating three cookies at once. This is a Homer Simpson kind of cookie! Moderation is key. In fact, freeze these babies and you'd get a pretty tasty ice cream sandwich.

Sugar Cookie Bowls
I was really pleased with how these turned out. I've seen photos of cookie bowls that have failed miserably, but the dough is a bit stiffer than your good-old sugar cookie. I made these for a work birthday treat and got rave reviews. These are definitely a crowd pleaser and should probably be eaten with a crowd so that you don't eat too many.

Homemade Oreos
FAUXREOS as they have come to be known, this is a crowd pleasing cookie for sure! I've had several requests from a coworker to make these for his kids. Again, this sandwich cookie is one that YOU control the amount of filling on. Double-stuffed? Triple-decker? Quad-decker? The sky is the limit! These cookies hold up in milk a better than an Oreo, so if you're hoping for a soggy cookie, that is the ONLY way this cookie can disappoint.

Perfect Pie Crust
I can't take all of the credit for this recipe because there is one reason behind my pie crusting skills: MY MOM!! She disliked making the pie crust so much that I got a lot of practice in order to perfect my pastry dough. This dough is easy because you don't have to "refrigerate this" or "pulse that"; it a one bowl, easily transferred, 10 minute crust.

Raspberry Pie Filling
I recently took a trip to my coworkers farm house and she had SO many raspberry bushes! I came home with about 3 lbs of fresh raspberries. I wanted to try something other than jam, so I figured that a nice raspberry pie or crisp would be a great shift. To make this a little easier in time crunches, I canned the filling so that i can make a quick and tasty dessert.

Stuffed Bell Peppers
These aren't your traditional stuffed peppers with rice, ground beef or sausage; I prefer to keep these peppers on the lighter side, but still very flavorful. I felt kind of awkward stuffing a pepper with peppers...as if the pepper was cannibalistic. Anyway, the secret is to use a hearty grain, in this case cracked wheat. Cracked wheat is made from whole raw wheat kernels which are crushed or cut. I like cracked wheat because it is rich in nutrients and fiber because it is a whole grain. Similar to cracked wheat, Bulgar wheat can also be used. The difference between cracked and Bulgar wheat is that Bulgar wheat is steamed and toasted before it is crushed. Bulgar wheat also takes less time to cook because it has already been steamed. Bulgar wheat can be used if you're short on time, just adjust the cooking times in the recipe. Both cracked and Bulgar wheat can be found at the grocery store either in the cereal (by the hot cereal) or baking aisle (by the specialty flour).

Triple-Berry Pie
I spent the day with my mom today and after a long day of window shopping, we decided to make a pie. Many members are allergic to strawberries (NOT ME ;P), so I knew we couldn't make anything with "evil berries," as my mom likes to call them. I had lots of frozen berries and mom tells me that she has never made a lattice-top pie before...that had to change. I realized that it is so much easier to make a lattice-top pie when there's another person helping you. The pie made the house smell amazing and I got to cook with my mom again. I was a happy camper.
