Two-faced Cookies

A cookie that covers the best of both worlds! I consider this similar to the Uh-Oh Oreos...oops I combined two cookies! Good luck trying to decide which side to eat or dip first! Maybe we should flip a coin like Tommy Lee Jones or Aaron Eckhart playing Harvey Dent (a.k.a. Two-Face) in the Batman films?

Tips:

Separate doughs - I know it might seem tedious, but in order to get two cookies, you need two doughs, it's common sense.
Multitask - I found it easier to prepare the doughs both at the same time. This way I could use the same tools for the same steps. Just be sure to use a separate spatula when adding the dry ingredients (Step 4).
Oven Temperature: 350 degrees
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Bake Time: 10-12 minutes
 Servings: 3-4 dozen cookies
Regular Cookie Dough:
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Chocolate Cookie Dough:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips

Directions:

1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

2)
To prepare each cookie dough, in a small bowl, combine all dry ingredients and set aside.

3) In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract until light and fluffy Add egg and beating until well combined.

4) Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in the chips. Repeat for the opposite dough.

5) Scoop 1/2 Tablespoon of each dough and press them together. Roll the combined doughs into balls and place onto parchment-lined baking sheets, 2 inches apart.

6) Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are puffed and centers are set.

7) Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
